Galveston is 32 miles long and 2 ½ miles wide so the island energy will affect you whether you are studying, grocery shopping, or just swaying in the hammock. With 60,000 people, Galveston has all the good things of a small Texas town – friendly people, ease of doing business, and light traffic. However, Galveston also has the benefits of a city, like art galleries, live music, museums, shopping, and lots of good restaurants. The Island is a great place to be any time of the year. Summer is the high season, of course, but during Fall, Winter and Spring we enjoy mild climates and lots of activities. In fact, most locals prefer the beach in winter, donning only a sweatshirt for warmth. Activities Sealy Suites is a small and quiet fourplex nestled inside in the East End Historical District of Galveston Island.
